FOURTH OF JULY
This is a big event for the fire department and the city of Ocean Shores. Around 100,000 people pour into the city over the weekend and the beaches are lined with fireworks at night.
Fireworks may be discharged from the Damon beach approach to Marine View Drive access from noon-11 p.m. on July 2-3; and from noon to midnight on July 4.
We have two boot drives each year. The first one benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the other raises funds for the Ocean Shores Fire Association. Both are nonprofit organizations.
